Message to Nevada Royal Arch Grand Officers

From: Most Excellent James D. Phelps, Grand High Priest, Nevada

When we started our journey together in June, we agreed on a few important goals. One of the biggest goals was COMMUNICATION. Another big goal was TRAVEL and VISITATION at Official Visits - more than just your own group. The fulfillment of these goals, exemplified by your PRESENCE and PARTICIPATION, indicates to others whether or not you CARE about our fraternity.

It is clear that your attendance at the upcoming Royal Arch Official Visits (shown below) will let your fellow Nevada companions know your level of dedication to the craft and will indicate your interest (or lack thereof) in moving forward as a Masonic leader. It is essential that we show our Chapters our full support at their Official Visits.

As you ascend the Grand Line in Royal Arch, you will both want and need the support of your officers. You committed to that commensurate responsibility when you accepted your office. Please plan to attend as many Official Visits as possible (wearing your RED COAT and your Grand Apron and Grand Jewel). I assure you, I will take great pride in seeing each of you in attendance.

** Please note the change from our Officers’ Manual.  This has been corrected on the website.

In addition to the Carson City OV on Saturday, March 14th, there will be a St. Patrick’s dinner with raffle prizes and silent auction. This is Lewis Chapter’s annual fundraiser for RARA in conjunction with Capital Council and their support of CMMRF.

Cost is $15 and you are welcome to bring family and friends. This will be at the Carson Lodge at 5:00 p.m.

On Thursday, March 12th at 7:00 pm will be a reception of the Grand Officers at the stated convocation of Lewis Chapter. Those in the north are specifically requested to attend. Lodging can be obtained at the Hardman House in Carson City or at the Atlantis in Reno.

Your presence is necessary for accomplishing our goals. Thank you again for accepting your office and the attendant responsibilities.
